A student was arrested in Bihar on charges of uploading porn video clips on YouTube in the names of two prestigious private schools, police officials said on Sunday.
Police arrested Anshul Akhauri, a Bachelor of Business Administration of a Patna-based private college from Buxar district for allegedly uploading the clips.
Patna Senior Superintendent of police Alok Kumar said that a team of police official arrested Akhauri, a resident of Jhumri Tiliya in Jharkhand , when he was visiting Buxar to visit his father who is a bank official.
The cops have also recovered a data card from him. "Akhauri confessed during interrogation that he had uploaded the video clips last July," Kumar said.
According to police, after schools authorities sought help of Bihar police chief Abhyanand last November. Subsequently, the police was asked to investigate into the matter. A case was lodged and probe began.
"Two schools were worried as their names had been used in objectionable video clips uploaded on Youtube," a police official said.
During its investigation, police first made a requisition to Google and requested it to block the objectionable video clips and provide IP address of those behind the incident.
"We procured the IP address of the miscreant and trace his email and arrested him," the police said.
