The Sri Lankan Army, accused of human rights violations will produce a video film covering the last phase of the battle with the LTTE to counter 'false propaganda' against it by a British media outlet, Army chief Jagath Jayasuriya said on Monday.

"Our documentary will show how Prabakaran was killed in the final battle", Lieutenant General Jayasuriya said.

The documentary is to be a counter to 'false propaganda' carried out against the Sri Lankan military by the British TV, Channel 4, he said.

Jayasuriya said the Channel 4 documentary has accused the government troops of murder and rape and the Army video documentary will deal with all accusations.

"We will have all commanding officers at the final battle giving full details. The Army will face it".

The Channel 4, Jayasuriya said is expected to release another documentary on March 14 as they had done previously falsely accusing the troops. The Channel 4's latest release is to coincide with the on going 19th sessions of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

The US government sponsored motion is to commit Sri Lanka to implement the recommendations of the Lessons Learnt and Reconciliation Commission (LLRC).

The LLRC set up by President Mahinda Rajapaksa was the government's answer to international calls for accountability over the alleged rights abuses during the final battle that ended in May 2009.
