Spurious liquor kills six in Muzaffarpur

At least 6 persons, including a women, died after consuming illicit liquor in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district and another five were admitted  to a government hospital in critical condition , the police on Monday said.

The police have detained two persons in this connection. The incident took place in Naknampur village under Paru police station late Sunday night, a district police official said.

Muzaffarpur district magistrate S K Mall said that he ordered an inquiry into it.  A police official said that the victims reportedly purchased the alcohol from a shop selling country liquor in their village. They complained of stomach pain after drinking and started vomiting.
