Intercept inputs of a GPS wireless conversation between two LTTE operatives by the Research and Analysis Wing which is being analysed by Intelligence Bureau indicates LTTE cadre may try to sneak into India from Visakhapatanam port. And this might happen between May 1 and 2.
An alert has been issued to most of southern ports especially Vishakapatanam.
Intelligence reports have warned that LTTE operatives may flee Sri Lanka and enter India along with Tamil refugees, and their destination is obviously Vishakapatanam or Vijayawada.
India fears an increased threat from the Tamil Tigers whose chief V Prabhakaran continues to be at large.

As the LTTE nears defeat in Sri Lanka, India's worst fears may come true. The conventional military capability of the LTTE is over but the fund-raising and international operations are still on. Intelligence sources also believe that LTTE is still capable of guerrilla warfare. India believes the outfit will continue to be dangerous and capable of carrying out terror strikes.
India is screening all refugees coming to India from Sri Lanka to make sure no LTTE activist is among them. Authorities have also sent two expert teams to de-mine regions which are free of LTTE-control, along with team of doctors and relief worth Rs 100 crore to Sri Lanka.
