There has been a slight improvement in the health of Sathya Sai Baba though he still continues to be in a critical state, doctors attending on him said on Friday.
"Sathya Sai Baba's vital parameters and indicators of functions of the various organs of the body like blood pressure, heart rate, blood gas analysis, biochemical values continue to be nearly normal," said a health bulletin issued on Friday evening by A N Safaya, director of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences.
"There is a slight improvement of all his systems, though slow," it said.
The panel of doctors treating the Sai Baba is satisfied with the progress shown by him to the treatment, it said.
However, his condition continued to be critical and he is breathing with the help of a ventilator and being given kidney support through CRRT system of dialysis, the bulletin said.
Sai Baba, 86, was admitted to the hospital on March 28 following problems related to heart and respiration.
He has been suffering from multi-organ dysfunction.
