Swapandeep Singh, the daughter of Sarabjit Singh, who is on death row in Pakistan for allegedly being involved in terrorist acts in Pakistan, makes an appeal for the release of her father to the Indian and Pakistani prime ministers.

Sarabjit has been jailed in Pakistan since 1990 for his alleged involvement in four bomb blasts in Pakistan that killed 14 people.

Sarabjit's family insists he was wrongly convicted for the bombings. Pakistan's Supreme Court and former president Pervez Musharraf have rejected his mercy petitions in the past.

Sarabjit Singh's wife Sukhpreet makes an emotional appeal (in Punjabi) to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and Pakistani Prime Minister Asif Ali Zardari, pleading that her husband is innocent and should be pardoned.

She also speaks about Congress president Sonia Gandhi promising her a permanent job in the government.

Though Sarabjit was set to be hanged in April last year, his execution was put off indefinitely after the intervention of Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani.

Sarabjit Singh's sister Dalbir Kaur appeals for his release.

Owais Sheikh, the new counsel for Sarabjit, will file a fresh mercy petition before Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday, in the wake of the Supreme Court dismissing his appeal against capital punishment.

The petition seeking clemency will include a letter addressed to Zardari by the condemned man, said Sheikh.
