Ousted Ukraine President Viktor Yanukovych, who has been indicted for "mass murder" over the shooting of demonstrators, has fled strife-torn Kiev. He signed a deal with opposition leaders diluting his power, establishing a transitional government, and a move toward early elections.
Yanukovich, who lived in the lap of luxury, also left behind his presidential residence, just 12 miles from the city.
The mansion that had been closed off to the world for nearly a decade was thronged by Ukrainians, journalists and investigators over the weekend to see what Yanukovych was hiding.
While his country suffered, the former president had surrounded himself with exotic gardens a private zoo, ostriches, a yacht, elaborate baths, a garage packed with exotic cars, a golf course and a helicopter pad.
