PICS: Rain fury continues for day 2 in Mumbai; more predicted

Rains continued to wreak havoc in Mumbai for the second consecutive day, prompting the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation to advise people to stay at home and asking schools to shut as a precautionary measure.

Officials have also advised people to pay no heed to SMS warnings of flooding in the city, as they say these are being circulated by rumour-mongers.

Many private schools were shut and the authorities of some schools have also asked parents to collect those children, who had already left home for school.
