Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has expressed concern on the reports of incursions by Chinese troops in Ladakh region of the state.

Voicing his concern to media persons in Srinagar, Abdullah said such activities by China might hamper the relations between India and China.

"As far as the issue of Chinese incursions are concerned, the Centre has taken the matter very seriously. I hope that the issue is raised seriously with China as well. We have been hearing about it for a long time. I have also visited Leh many times and whenever I have gone there I have heard that there have been incursions there. And when efforts are being made to strengthen relations between China and India, such steps from China in Leh are not good for our relations. The sooner it is stopped, the better," said Abdullah.
