Two suspected Students Islamic Movement of India activists, arrested for allegedly attending a secret training camp held by the outfit in Wagamon, Kerala in 2007, would be taken on Wednesday to the place where they had attended the camp.

Shibili and Hafeez, who were recently handed over to a Kerala police team by the Madhya Pradesh police, would be produced before the Kanjirapally First Class Magistrate Court on March 11. They will then be taken to Kolahalamedu and Thangalpara in Wagamon, to gather evidence in connection with the camp, Crime Branch sources said on Monday.

The duo will be taken to the forest areas and the private lodge where they had stayed during their traning period. Following a court order, they were remanded to judicial custody till March 13 and lodged in the special sub-jail.

Approximately 40 cases were pending against the duo in various parts of the country including Gujarat, Indore, Karnataka and Madgaon. Shibili belongs to Erattupettah while Hussain is from Karnataka, the sources said.

Over 40 SIMI activists had participated in the three-day camp, police said, adding that till date 12 activists have been arrested in this connection.
