The Bombay high court on Monday allowed Shiv Sena to hold its traditional Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park here on October 17.
The court, however, said the party will have to follow noise pollution control rules in respect of silence zones.
In May, responding to a PIL, court had asked BMC to declare the area as silence zone.
Therefore, the authorities had refused permission for the rally.
As per the noise pollution control rule, sound levels in a silent zone cannot exceed 50 decibel.
