Sai Baba critical; liver, low BP issues persist

The condition of Sathya Sai Baba, undergoing treatment for over three weeks at a super speciality hospital in Puttaparthi, continues to be critical.

The condition of liver and intermittent episodes of low blood pressure are still causing anxiety to the doctors, a medical bulletin of Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences issued in the evening said.

The panel of treating doctors has been reinforced with the joining of another team of doctors

from Andhra Pradesh government under the guidance of Director of Medical Education and eminent nephrologist Dr Ravi Raj.

Dr Yegyaraman from the US, who is an electrophysiology specialist, also jointed the team of doctors.

The panel of doctors are working hard on his treatment and keeping round-the-clock watch on Saibaba's health condition, it said.

86-year-old Saibaba was hospitalised on March 28 following problems related to heart and respiration.
