J K Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, has given birth to a girl, according to reports.
Rowling's third child was born late Sunday at a hospital in Edinburgh, Scotland.
It is Rowling's second child with her husband Neil Murray, after their 22-month-old son David. She has an 11-year-old daughter, Jessica, from a previous marriage.
"Mother and baby are really well and both parents are delighted," the writer's spokeswoman said on Sunday.
