The man suspected to be the mastermind behind the May 12 suicide attacks in Riyadh that left 29 people dead, on Thursday blew himself up when cornered by Saudi Arabian authorities, according to a report.
Al-Arabiya television reported that Turki Nasser al-Dandani used a hand grenade to kill himself and two other terrorists after police surrounded their safe house in the northern province of al-Jawf, 900km north of Riyadh.
Last month, Ali Abd al-Rahman al-Faqasi al-Ghamdi, another suspect in the case, surrendered to Prince Mohammed bin Nayef, the third ranking official in the Saudi interior ministry.
