The missing ship, MV Rezzak carrying 25 Indian sailors has not been traced yet and the Indian officer flown into Turkey is looking into the matter along with Panamanian officials.
"Till date there has been no trace of personal effects, material or any sign of the missing crew on Turkish shores," the directorate general of shipping said in a statement.
India has flown in an officer to observe the investigations. The ship is owned by a Turkish company and registered in Panama. So, India cannot conduct the investigation officially because neither the ship is owned by an Indian nor is it registered in India.
A few days ago, Turkey had stopped the search and rescue operation because of no results. However, it has resumed the search following India's request.
There have been no inputs from International Maritime Board, Kuala Lumpur, which is looking for evidences of hijack.
IMB, Kuala Lumpur, is a nodal agency that looks into matters relating to hijack on international water.
"The directorate is in touch with IMB Piracy Reporting Centre in Kuala Lumpur, and pursuing with them to trace the whereabouts of the vessel and her crew," it said.
The ship that was carrying 25 Indian sailors went missing on February 18 on the Black Sea, near Turkey.
The ship was on its way from Russia to Turkey carrying steel billets. It left Russia on a 24-hour trip on February 17.
The weather condition on the Black Sea was bad when the ship left Russia.
There was no distress call from the ship though it had the latest communication system on board.
The crew was selected by Mumbai-based Pelican Marine, a manning agent.
