In an open letter to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Arun Jaitley has urged him to put an end to the alleged misuse of investigative agencies by the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government.
In his letter, Jaitley has cited examples of various cases, including the Sohrabbudin and Ishrat Jahan encounters, to illustrate his point.
The Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha has also alleged that the UPA was misusing both the Central Bureau of Investigation and the National Intelligence Agency as it cannot 'fight the BJP and Narendra Modi politically'.
