Prince Karim Aga Khan conferred Padma Vibhushan

Prince Karim Aga Khan was accorded with the prestigious Padma Vibhushan award by President Pranab Mukherjee on Wednesday.
 
On Tuesday, the prince had called on the President, assuring that the Aga Khan Development Network would continue to work in India and establish best practices in heritage conservation. He
also met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, informing him that the Aga Khan Foundation is undertaking the construction of one lakh toilets, beginning with Gujarat.
 
The Padma Vibhushan is the second highest civilian award in India.
