President condoles security expert B Raman's demise

President Pranab Mukherjee has sent a condolence letter to B S Raghavan, brother of Bahutkumbi Raman, one of India’s foremost security experts, who passed away in Chennai on last Sunday evening after a prolonged battle against cancer.
 
The letter says, “One of India’s foremost security experts and founders of our external intelligence wing –
the Research and Analysis Wing, Shri Raman shall be remembered for his immense contribution to revamp the intelligence apparatus of our nation. His books on a range of issues concerning security and counter-terrorism will continue to be of immense value to those specialising in strategic and intelligence matters.”
