External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee was on Tuesday discharged from the army hospital in Delhi after the doctors declared him fit to resume work.
"Mukherjee was discharged from hospital this morning after a team of specialists found him fit to resume work," doctors attending on him said.
Mukherjee (72) was flown to Delhi on Sunday from Kolkata in a special plane after being injured in a road accident in West Bengal.
He suffered injuries in his head and other parts of the body when his car was hit by a truck while he was returning to Kolkata from Murshidabad.
