The Prime Minister's Office on Wednesday sought to dismiss the alleged nexus between realty giant DLF and Priyanka Gandhi's husband Robert Vadra as 'false'.

An affidavit filed by PMO Joint Secretary Dheeraj Gupta before the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad high court termed as "false, vexatious and based on hearsay" the allegations about DLF having extended undue favours to Robert Vadra.

The affidavit was filed in a PIL moved by local activist Nutan Thakur, seeking a probe into the charges leveled against Vadra and the country's leading real estate developer

The PMO has gone on record to describe the whole issue as a "personal matter between two individuals and a pure business transaction."

The matter is listed for hearing on Thursday.
