In the run up to the International Yoga Day on June 21, Prime Minister Modi is tweeting information about different exercises involved in it as part of his efforts to make the event a grand success.

“For improved neuromuscular coordination, balance & rejuvenated ligaments, do practice Vrikshasana,” he tweeted on Thursday.

He also uploaded a video about how the ‘Vrikshasana’ is performed.

On Wednesday, he had tweeted, “Today onwards will share details on asanas. We begin with standing postures, first of which is Tadasana.”

He noted that “Yogasanas are capable of bringing about stability of body and mind, involve adopting various psycho-physical body patterns and giving one an ability to maintain a body position comfortably for a considerable length of time.”

The government plans to celebrate the Yoga Day in a grand manner with thousands of people expected to gather at Rajpath to perform Yoga.
