PM Modi denounces Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday night condemned the Naxal strike in Chhattisgarh in which 13 CRPF peronnel were killed and said words are not enough to deplore the "brutal" and "inhuman" attack by "anti-national elements."

Modi said he has talked to Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh and the situation is being monitored.

"Words are not enough to condemn the brutal and inhuman attack by anti-national elements in Sukma, Chhattisgarh. I salute the courageous CRPF personnel who have been martyred today. Our thoughts are with the families of those who lost their loved ones.

"Have spoken to Home Minister @BJPRajnathSingh &Chhattisgarh CM drramansingh. We are monitoring the situation closely," the PM tweeted.

Maoists on Monday killed 13 CRPF personnel, including two officers, and injured an equal number in the second attack on the force in 10 days in the same area in the Naxal hotbed of Sukma district in the state.
