As Guinness World Records turns 60 this year, Rediff.com takes a look at some of the weirder records that are featured in the new edition.
1) Largest feet
Venezuelan Jeison Orlando Rodriguez Hernandez, 20, has been recognised for having the largest feet on a living person -- at a size 26, they measure in at 40.1 cm (15.8 inches), for the right foot, and 39.6 cm (15.6 inches) for the left. Photograph: Guinness World Records
2) Tallest married couple
Sun Mingming and his wife Xu Yan of China have a combined height of 13 feet, 10.72 inches. He’s 7 feet, 8.98 inches and she's 6 feet, 1.74 inches. They were married in Beijing on August 4, 2013. Photograph: Guinness World Records
3) Largest hot dog cart
Marcus Daily of Union, Missouri, owns the world’s largest hot dog cart. It measures 9 feet, 3 inches in width, 23 feet, 2 inches in length, and 12 feet, 2.75 inches in height from the ground to the handle. The wheels’ diameter is 6 feet, 1.5 inches. Photograph: Guinness World Records
4) Largest cowboy boot sculpture

5) Longest fur on a rabbit
Franchesca, a rabbit owned by Betty Chu of Morgan Hill, California, holds the record for longest fur on a rabbit: 14.37 inches. Photograph: Guinness World Records
6) Longest ball point pen
The largest ball point pen measures 18 feet and one half-inch and weighs about 82 pounds. The pen was made by Acharya Makunuri Srinivasa of India and was presented and measured in Hyderabad, India, on 24 April 2011. Photograph: Guinness World Records
7) Fastest Tortoise
The fastest tortoise on Earth is Bertie, who ran 9/10s of a foot in a second on July 9, 2014. Photograph: Guinness World Records
8) Largest collection of gnomes and pixies
Devon artist Ann Atkin, 78, has a staggering 2,042 gnomes in her four-acre garden. She opened her ‘gnome reserve’ near Bradworthy to the public in 1979. ‘Age doesn’t matter... if you are three, 33 or 93 you can still be a gnome and leave behind any cares or worries of everyday life,’ she says. Ann provides visitors with optional gnome hats lest they scare her record-breaking residents. Photograph: Guinness World Records
9) Most teeth in a mouth
Vijay Kumar V A, 27, from Bangalore, India, who features for most teeth in a mouth. Vijay has 37 teeth in total. Photograph: Guinness World Records
10) Most BMX time machines
Takahiro Ikeda, 21, from Tokyo, Japan holds the record for the most BMX ‘time machine’ tricks in one minute. Ikeda, a professional BMX rider, managed 83 time machines in one minute. Photograph: Guinness World Records
