As the results for the Lok Sabha elections 2024 were declared on Tuesday, here is how some of the big faces fared in the contest.

Bharatiya Janata Party's Smriti Irani lost to Congress's Kishori Lal in Amethi by over 1.67 lakh votes.

Narendra Modi wins his Varanasi seat for a third time. Defeating Congress's Ajay Rai by 1.52 lakh votes.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi won both his seats -- Rae Bareli by over 3.90 lakh votes and Wayanad by over 3.64 lakh votes.

BJP's Amit Shah wins from Gandhinagar by a record margin of 7.4 lakh votes.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav won in Kannauj by over 1.70 lakh votes.

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor wins the Thiruvananthapuram seat by defeating BJP's Rajeev Chandrasekhar by over 16,000 votes.

In North-East Delhi, Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar loses to BJP's Manoj Tiwari by over 1.38 lakh votes.

BJP's Hema Malini won in Mathura by over 2.93 lakh votes.

BJP leader Arun Govil wins in Meerut by 10,585 votes.

BJP debutante Bansuri Swaraj defeats Aam Aadmi Party's Somnath Bharti by over 78,000 votes in New Delhi.

Chandrashekhar Azad of Aazad Samaj Party-Kanshi Ram wins in UP's Nagina seat by over 1.5 lakh votes.

Prajwal Revanna, the suspended Janata Dal-Secular MP facing sexual abuse allegations, loses to Congress's Shreyas M Patel by over 42,000 votes in Karnataka's Hassan.
