PHOTO: Table's set for Singh-Zardari luncheon

Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari, who arrived in New Delhi on Sunday on a day-long visit, is headed to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's residence for a luncheon meeting, following which he is slated to go to Ajmer Sharif.

On the menu would be food from virtually all regions of the country -- masala dosafrom the South, sandesh from the East and kebabs popular in the North.

The lunch will begin with cold melon and mint soup followed by sarson ke phool, subz shammi kebab and mini masala dosa as starters for vegetarians.

The non-vegetarian menu has jaithooni murg seekh and gosht barra kebab for starters.

The dignitaries would then be served kareli dal gosht (mutton), murg kofta makhni(chicken), sikandari khusk raan (lamb) with assorted rotis

They can also have their pick from a south Indian delicacy avial, moong dal tadka and kacchi ghost biryani (a variety of mutton biryani).

The vegetarians at the lunch table can choose from tori bhujia, paneer jhalfrezi and makai palak with assorted rotis.

For dessert, the dignitaries can opt for blueberry mousse, gur ka sandesh, phirni and fresh fruits. 

The dignitaries will wind up the lunch with tea or coffee.
