'Pakistan copied secret tunnel concept from North Korea'

Major General (retired) G D Bakshi, a combat veteran of many counter-terrorist operations in Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab, has said that Pakistan has copied the concept of building secret tunnels from North Korea with an aim to infiltrate in Jammu and Kashmir and spread terror.

Bakshi also mentioned that a campaign for uncovering such tunnels should be a top priority for the Border Security Force.

Indian authorities had on Saturday discovered a 400-metre long tunnel, running between India and Pakistan, along the International Border in Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Samba Israr Khan told reporters that the tunnel was detected after an area caved-in at two or three places due to rains near the Border Security Force's Chillayari Border Out Post, he said.

The tunnel, with a dimension of 3x3 foot, was running between Chillayari BOP and Pakistan's Numberiyal BOP.
