Pakistani authorities imposed a ban on the publication and sale of a translated version of a book by Al Qaeda leader Aiman al-Zawahiri, saying it has the potential to incite law and order problems.
The ban on the book "Spaida-e-Sehr Aur Timtamata Chiragh" was imposed by the government of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province in the country's restive northwest.
The government said all copies of the book would be forfeited with immediate effect. Authorities said the book was published by al-Zawahiri and has "the potential to provoke the religious feelings of the public".
