Thousands lined up along the two sides of National Highway-5 braving rains, to pay their last respects to the mortal remains of havildar Aniruddha Baral who was killed by insurgents in Nagaland on October seven.
Baral, 28, who worked in the intelligence wing of the Border Security Force, had died in an ambush near Dimapur.
The body, brought in a truck from Kolkata, was received by Jajpur district officials at Panikoili and was later taken to Baral's native village Singapur under Rasulpur block.
