Union Home minister P Chidambaran on Saturday denied having received any report from the Central Bureau of Investigation on the latest developments in former home minister Buta Singh's son Sarabjot Singh's alleged bribery case.

"I have not got a report so far," Chidambaram told mediapersons at a press conference.

Responding to a question whether National Commission for Scheduled Caste and Sceduked Tribe chairman Buta Singh was resigning, Chidambaram said that the Commission did not came under the purview of his ministry.

Meanwhile, CBI director Ashwini Kumar refused to part with details of the investigations conducted in the case so far.

"If need be, Buta Singh might be questioned as well," he said when asked about the allegations levelled by Buta Singh against CBI and the Congress party, who, according to him, were trying to frame and defame him in a false case.

"We are not framing anyone. We go by investigations and what we find during it. I cannot tell you what was found from the house of Sarjabot Singh during raid," the former Himachal Pradesh police director general said.

"As I am looking for CBI as a world class institution in the near future, the antecedent changes are a must. We will have to change ourselves and do a lot to come up with the expectations of the government, parliament, judiciary, media and the people," Kumar added.
