Defence Minister A K Antony on Tuesday said that cross-border terrorism continues unabated and Pakistan has not done much to stop it. He was speaking to media personnel in Bengaluru where the first Naval prototype of the Light Combat Aircraft was rolled out today.

Antony stated that while the situation in Kashmir was improving, terror camps continued to operate from across the border. But he added that bilateral dialogue between India and Pakistan was imperative to resolve the many pending issues.

"Talks between the two countries should go on and this process should not be halted at any cost. Whatever may be the case, India will do everything to ensure that security is not compromised," he said.

"There is no change in the manner in which Pakistan is handling cross-border terrorism. There is no improvement from their end at all, but despite this, we will continue to conduct talks," said the minister.

Speaking on the Centre's policy to tackle the Naxal menace, Antony said three army units were being set up in Chhattisgarh. But he clarified that the armed forces would be the absolute last resort to tackle the Left-wing extremists.
