Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday played the sons of the soil card when he claimed that bahri (outsiders) were seeking people's support during the upcoming elections.

“Only a Bihari can develop Bihar not an outsider. It is for people to decide,” Nitish Kumar said.

Nitish Kumar targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party by saying that the grand alliance of the Janata Dal-United, the Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Congress have chief ministerial candidate and his face is before people. But the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance has none.

“The NDA is fighting in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi but he is the PM and cannot become chief minister,” he said.
