The National Investigating Agency which is investigating the cases related to the Kozhikode and Bengaluru bomb blasts has come down heavily against the Kerala police for allowing dreaded terrorist and south India commander of Lashkar-e-Tayiba, Thadiyantavida Nasir to speak to the media.
The NIA, sources said, was peeved at the manner in which such a high security prisioner was brought to the court without covering his face and allowed to speak to the media.
Nasir had told media persons on Wednesday that he had not given any deposition before the Karnataka police indicting Peoples Democratic Party leader Abdul Nasser Madani .This deposition is considered as the reason for charging Madani as an accused in the Bengaluru bomb blast case.
NIA sources told rediff.com that the Nasir's statement that he had not deposed against Madani is seen as a clear violation of the prevailing security rules
Political observers have already charged that the Left Democratic Front government in Kerala had a major role to play in Nasir's speech to media persons and that this was done to help Madani who is facing imminent arrest.
