With the Bharatiya Janata Party set to head a new coalition government in Jharkhand with support alliance partners the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and the AJSU, Chief Minister Shibu Soren claimed on Saturday that the allies would share power on a rotational basis.
"Yes," Soren told the media at the airport in Ranchi when asked whether the formula was to share power on a rotational basis.
State Human Resource Development Minister Hemlal Murmu and Agriculture Minister Mathura Prasad, both JMM leaders, said as per the decision arrived at, JMM would support BJP for half the tenure of the government and the remaining half would be run by the JMM.
Asked when Soren would resign, Murmu said "after BJP chooses its leader, we (JMM) will sit and decide when he will resign or when the next government will take the oath."
