Family members of Subhas Chandra Bose on Saturday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi here and put forward their long-pending demand to de-classify the files related to Netaji.
"With other members of the Bose family, we met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and told him that the de-classification of Netaji files was not just a demand of the family but of the entire nation," Netaji's grand nephew Chandra Kumar Bose told media persons after the meeting with Modi.
Bose along with other family members today held a 20-minute long meeting with Modi at Raj Bhavan here.
He said the Prime Minister's approach towards their demand of de-classification of files was very positive. "His approach towards our demand of de-classification of files was very positive.
"Modiji told us that such things can't be solved in two- three meeting. He invited us to Delhi and told us that we all should sit together, the members of Bose family, the Netaji researchers, the government Representatives and discuss the matter and all of us should work together in this matter," Bose said.
The prime minister had met Netaji's grand nephew Surya Bose in Berlin last month during which they discussed the surveillance issues and declassification of the freedom fighter's files.
