Naga leader Isak Chisi Swu has arrived in the country for peace talks with the central government, weeks after the arrival of outfit's general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah.
The National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak Muivah is aiming to carry forward the ongoing Naga peace process.
"The chairman has arrived in Nagaland last night. No programme has been fixed so far," NSCN-IM leader Phungthing Simrang told PTI.
Swu arrived in Kolkata from Bangkok and then left for Guwahati last evening from where he traveled to Dimapur by road amid tight security.
Muivah had arrived in New Delhi on December 20 and has been staying in the national capital since then. He celebrated Christmas in New Delhi and several NSCN-IM leaders and scores of Naga students participated.
With the arrival of Swu, the top leadership of the outfit is likely to engage in negotiations with government representatives, including a Group of Ministers headed by Union Labour Minister Oscar Fernandes.
Muivah is also likely to visit Nagaland shortly despite threat from the rival Khaplang group, which dubbed him a traitor and asked him not to visit Nagaland.
The leaders' visit assumes significance in view of next month's assembly elections in Manipur where four hill districts are dominated by Naga tribes.
Both the leaders had visited India in late 2004 when they held negotiations with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other top government leaders. They are expected to stay in the country for two months.
