The Coast Guard received a distress signal from MV RAK carrier, a CG official told PTI. Immediately after receiving the signal, Coast Guard and

Navy helicopters and boats were deployed for rescue operations, the official said. "So far, we have rescued nine persons and efforts are underway to rescue others," they said.
