With a forensic team being rushed to probe the Mumbai serial blasts case, the police are doing everything to ensure that no evidence is destroyed due to the heavy rains in the city.

A team of forensic experts are expected to reach the blast sites shortly and collect evidence.

In addition to this the National Investigating Agency has also started investigations into the case. Both these teams will work together, apart from picking up information from the police regarding the blasts.

The evidence collected from the blast sites would help investigators ascertain the material that was used in the blast. At the moment the only major confirmation that the police have is on the use of improvised explosive devices. The rest of the material that has been used to execute the blasts would play a crucial role in ascertaining the nature of the blasts, and more importantly the signature of the terror group which has carried out this attack.
