MP Governor's son's death: Suicide or silenced?

Mystery shrouds the death of Madhya Pradesh Governor Ram Naresh Yadav's son Shailesh Yadav. 

While there was no official communication regarding the post-mortem report until late Wednesday evening, informed sources pointed towards the recovery of copper sulphate from his stomach.

Whether he consumed the poison or he was poisoned remains unanswered?

Shailesh was facing charges for taking bribes in recruitment of teachers in Madhya Pradesh.

While speculation was rife about Shailesh ending his own life, the Lucknow police and Congress leaders were busy trying to impress upon all and sundry that his death was a result of "brain haemorrhage".

Family members refused to talk to the media while Congress leaders continued to maintain that "uncontrolled diabetes and hypertension accelerated the end".

A senior police official, said, "The cause of death will be ascertained only after we get the post-mortem report".

Ram Naresh Yadav arrived on Wednesday evening after being discharged from a hospital where he was admitted shortly after his name cropped up in the scam.

Both father and son were having a tough time amidst mounting pressure from different quarters for initiating prosecution proceedings against them.

While the father was pleading for immunity in his position as Governor, the son was running pillar-to-post to save his skin. His blood pressure and diabetes is stated to have risen considerably over the past few weeks since his alleged involvement in the Vyapam scam had been exposed.

A product of Jaiprakash Narayan's anti-Indira Gandhi movement, Ram Naresh Yadav shot into the spotlight after he was picked up as a dark horse to head the Janata Party government in Uttar Pradesh in the post-emergency era in 1977.

Subsequently, he slipped into oblivion for some time until he managed entry in the Congress that was desperately looking for a Yadav face in Uttar Pradesh.

After running a fruitless battle for sometime, he managed to find favour with Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who gave him the position of Madhya Pradesh governor in 2012.

His son Shailesh, who had failed to make a debut in politics, reportedly found his father's rehabilitation as an opportunity to make hay. The alleged patronage of his father allowed him to have his way and reportedly fill his coffers until he got exposed.
