Indian American groups have threatened to organise protests against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi during his five-day visit to the United States from March 20.
Modi will address the Asian-American Hotel Owners' Association in Fort Lauderade, Florida, a public meeting in New York and meet other business leaders.
Some groups in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut have come together to form the 'Tri-State Coalition against Genocide'.

Though the coalition failed to block Modi's visit, they plan to hold demonstrations both in Fort Lauderade and New York.
The Association of Indian-Americans of North America, which is organising the public meeting in Madison Square Garden in New York, dismissed criticisms against Modi.
It said the Gujarat CM's visit had nothing to do with politics but was just a business visit.
He would showcase India in general and Gujarat in particular during the visit, they added
At a press conference on Thursday, the Overseas Friends of Bharatiya Janata Party said the visit had aroused so much interest that it was unable to accommodate all.
It said it had arranged for free transport from several points in the adjoining states to bring in people.
