The police on Tuesday informed the Delhi Juvenile Justice Board that the minor boy accused of making sexually explicit Multimedia Messaging Services clips involving him and his classmate, has destroyed the mobile phone he used to film the act.
The boy, who was produced before Principal Magistrate Santosh Snehi Mann, was sent to an observation home for boys, run by non-governmental organisation Prayas, till January 4.
Assistant Commissioner of Police M K Sharma told the court that the juvenile, during interrogation, revealed that he had destroyed the instrument, the Subscriber Identification Module card and the clips. He, however, did not answer questions on where he dumped them, the ACP said.
The boy, who was placed under juvenile welfare officer's custody for a day, was questioned in the presence of his father, as per the board's direction on Monday.
The boy's counsel, Amit Khanna, claimed the police have not found anything incriminating against him.
The juvenile's bail plea will be heard tomorrow.
