In a significant development, the special court in Indore on Friday allowed the Central Bureau of Investigation to subject Bharatiya Janata Party MLA, Dhruv Narayan Singh, to a polygraph test in connection with RTI activist Shehla Masood murder case.
Special CBI Magistrate, Dr Shubra Singh, had earlier allowed the agency to subject interior designer Zahida Pervez, her close associate Saba Faroqui and Saqib Ali Danger to the polygraph test.
Dhurv Narayan represents Bhopal Central constituency.
The CBI had earlier questioned the MLA for nearly six hours at its Bhopal office, and also searched his official residence.
CBI suspects that Zahida hired the other accused to kill Masood out of jealousy, as she believed that Masood was getting too close to Dhruv Narayan. According to the agency, Zahida had an intimate relationship with the BJP MLA.
