Blood samples collected from 31 Assam Rifles personnel in connection with the rape and killing of Thangjam Manorama have been sent to the Central Institute for Forensic Laboratory at Kolkata for DNA testing, sources in the Regional Institute of Medical Science hospital said in Imphal on Thursday.

However, two more AR personnel are yet to give their samples, the sources said.

The samples, collected on August 31, were kept under seal in the custody of Assam Rifles.

The test will be part of the army court of inquiry probing the circumstances that led to the death of Th Manorama on July 11, which triggered massive protests across Manipur.
