Sex is not the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks of Harvard.

But a new student magazine just might change that image.

The Committee on College Life, comprising students, faculty and administrators, approved H Bomb on Tuesday as an official Harvard publication, the student newspaper The Crimson reported.

The magazine, launched by two female undergraduates -- sophomore Katharina Baldegg and junior Camilla Hrdy -- will feature erotic writing and nude photographs, including that of undergraduates.

It will deal with sex and the "issues surrounding sex for men and women of all sexual orientations and tastes", according to the application submitted by the students to the committee.

The committee, which includes students, staff, and faculty, approved the magazine with a 12-0 vote, with two abstentions.

The magazine, which will be launched in spring, will be allowed to use Harvard's name and facilities, and to hang posters on campus. The approval does not include any funding.

"It will provide comfortable, relaxed discussion that doesn't hold back and puts a lighter spin on something that shouldn't be a restricted or delicate topic at Harvard," they wrote. They also submitted a list of more than 25 students who wanted to work on the magazine.
