Speaking to reporters, the Telugu Desam Party chief said, “It is a great victory for the people. The National Democratic Alliance and the Bharatiya Janata Party has done very well. He said that the priority now was to join hands with Narendra Modi and develop his state. We are not thinking of portfolios and what we will get at the centre. The TDP will play a very constructive role in the NDA.”

“We were confident that we would win the elections and once the results of the local body elections started to pour in it became extremely clear that we were going to win. We are happy we have done well, both in the assembly and parliamentary segment. There is a big challenge ahead for us and we need to build the state from scratch. My only priority is to make my state well developed. I do not want to comment on my opponents. As I said my priority is development,” Naidu also said.
