US President George W Bush (3rd from left) on Monday signed the book of condolences for the victims of the tsunami disaster at the Indian embassy in Washington.

He was accompanied by former US presidents Bill Clinton (2nd from left), George H W Bush, and First Lady Laura Bush.

The former presidents will lead a US fund-raising campaign to help victims of the tsunamis that struck on December 26, 2004.

"I ask every American to contribute as they are able to do so," Bush said in the White House's Roosevelt Room with the two former presidents at his side.
