Letter sent by 'LeT' warns of another terror strike

A letter allegedly written by the Lashkar-e-Tayiba -- threatening another terror attack at Begum Bazaar in Hyderabad -- is being examined by the city police.

The letter was sent to Bharatiya Janata Party’s Andhra Pradesh unit president Kishen Reddy and it threatened more attacks in Hyderabad.

Sources in the police say that though the letter could be a hoax, they are not taking any chances.

The police are trying to track the origin of the letter and verify its content.

In the letter, the terror outfit has also claimed responsibility for the twin blasts in Dilsukh Nagar in Hyderabad that killed 16 people on Thursday evening.

Investigations had earlier indicated that Begum Bazaar was one of the places surveyed by Indian Mujahideen operatives to carry out a terror strike.

“We have sent the letter for forensic examination,” said a police official.
