A high-level meeting of police officers of Kerala and Karnataka has decided to jointly tackle terrorism. The meeting was inaugurated by the Additional Director General of Police Mahesh Kumar Singla at Kannur.
The Inspector General of Police (Northern Range) Tomin J Thachankery said that as the two states had suffered at the hands of terror operatives, the meet would be advantageous in sharing valuable information among each other .
Officers from Karnataka said the arrest of LeT South India commander Thadiyantavida Naseer and his associates, who were involved in the serial bomb blasts in Bangalore, helped them get vital information.
Mysore Range Inspector General of Police Jeevan Kumar Govankar and the Mangalore Range Inspector General of Police Gopal B Husur are attending the meet.
