Describing Kashmir as the 'jugular vein' of Pakistan, president of Pakistan occupied Kashmir, Raja Zulqarnain has criticised the government for not including any Kashmiri in the senate's standing committee on Kashmir.
Addressing a conference, Zulqarnain said none of the Kashmiris are aware about the government's policy regarding the region. "A stronger Pakistan is guarantee to the liberation of Kashmir, which is the jugular vein of Pakistan and the future of Kashmiris is attached with Pakistan come what may," The Nation quoted Zulqarnain, as saying.
"The new generation of Pakistan should raise voice for the plebiscite and right of self-determination for Kashmiris who have sacrificed their lives and honour for freedom," he added. Speaking during the conference, former foreign secretary Akram Zaki blamed the US and NATO forces, fighting in Afghanistan, for creating unrest in South Asia. Zaki said the foreign forces should immediately leave the region or Pakistan can force them to do so. He also described India as 'the worst enemy.' "Iran and China are good friends of Pakistan while India is the worst enemy, which has been trying to mislead Afghanistan against Pakistan," Zaki said.
