President A P J Abdul Kalam on Monday visited the King Edward Memorial Hospital in central Mumbai and met the injured of the bomb blasts in commuter trains on July 11.

Speaking to reporters after his 25-minute visit to the Ward No 6 of the state-run hospital, Kalam said, "Terrorism is the mind of evil people, insane people... good minds have definitely joined together to fight terrorism."

"I have talked to a number of patients and seen their pain. The hospital is doing everything they can and the patients are in good spirits," President said before leaving for Bhabha Atomic Research Centre for his next engagement in the city during his two-day visit.

He was briefed about the treatment given to the injured by the Dean of the hospital Nilima Kshirsagar.

At BARC, Kalam will interact with young scientists and engineers. Earlier, he was received at the airport by the Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna.
