Kalam heads for Philippines from Singapore

On the second leg of his three-nation tour, President A P J Abdul Kalam left for the Philippines Friday morning, after a three-day official visit to Singapore.

During his three-day tour, President Kalam is expected to sign a couple of agreements with the Philippines. He will also hold bilateral talks with his counterpart and the Filipino prime minister. He is expected to address a joint session of the Congress.

The President will also visit the College of Nursing, International Rights Research Institute and the National Engineering Centre, University of Philippines.
